9. Gabriel is in distress while on the balloon and vac-
illates between coping with the fear/anxiety and trust-
ing God that He is in control and has it all planned for Gabriel s good. Have you ever tried hard to
trust God
but kept falling back when the pressure was too great?

" 1 Peter 1:7 (kjv): That the trial of
your faith, being much more precious than
of gold that perisheth, though it be tried
with fire, might be found unto praise and
honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus
Christ.
" 1 Peter 4:12-13 (niv): Dear friends,
do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that
has come on you to test you, as though
something strange were happening to you.
But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in
the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be
overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
" James 1:12 (niv): Blessed is the one
who perseveres under trial because, having
stood the test, that person will receive the
crown of life that the Lord has promised to
those who love him.
How do you deal with the trials in your life?
1. Alexandria s parents have been captured and
thrown into the dungeon. Have you ever had a prison
experience? What happened?
2. Sometimes, right before a big breakthrough, peo-
ple endure trials and suffering to the point where they
want to give up. Have you ever experienced this? What
happened?
